In an Irish reimagining of L. Frank Baum’s American classic, Dorothy is a moody social-media-addled teen of 21st century Louth, transported to a strange land with no Google Map or Uber to save her.

Played throughout the beautiful grounds of Anaverna House, Ravensdale, this interactive adventure asks the audience to help Dorothy, the Tin Man, Cowardly Lion, Scarecrow and Toto on her journey through Oz, and get her back to all the modern conveniences of Wifi and Netflix. After all: there’s no place like home!

Stylised in both performance and design with a multi-rolling ensemble cast, Quintessence use their dazzling physical theatre techniques and audience participation games to provide a slick visual feast with a healthy dose of silliness; taking a familiar, well-loved classic and imbuing it with a fresh, amusing twist for the modern family.
